21 Years Old Harnaaz Sandhu Crowded Miss Universe 2021

On December 13, entertainer Harnaaz Sandhu set a record by becoming Miss Universe 2021, replacing candidates from 80 nations over all the universe. Harnaaz is a Punjabi woman from Chandigarh who won the Miss Universe Award at the age of 21.

It’s a fact that before Ms. Sandhu only two Indian celebrities won the miss universe award “in 1994 Sushmita Sen” and in 2000 Lara Dutta. Now, India’s third beauty queen Harnaaz become 70th Miss Universe 2021.

Harnaaz talks about her preparations for representing India in the Miss Universe competition during an interview at Times Fresh Face 2021.

“I believe I am the only candidate who has had the shortest time to prepare, but the team has been working hard to produce the best version out of India,” says the candidate. I’m getting a lot of training, be it in terms of communication or putting myself out there confidently. I promise to each one of you that you will enjoy the process – all these efforts will not go in vain.”

Q.1 What advice would you offer to young ladies watching on how to deal with the challenges they face today?

Harnaaz responded by saying, “The most significant pressure on today’s youth is to believe in themselves. Knowing that you are one-of-a-kind makes you beautiful. Stop comparing yourself to others and instead focus on the more pressing issues that are affecting the planet. You are the leader of your life, so come out and speak for yourself. You are your unique voice. I had faith in myself, and that is why I am here TODAY.”

Q.2 Many people believe climate change is a hoax, what would you do to convince them otherwise?

Harnaaz surprised everyone when she added, “My heart breaks to see how nature is suffering from a variety of issues, all of which are the result of our irresponsible behavior. I totally feel that this is the time to take action and talk less. Because our every action could save or kill nature, Prevent and protect is better than repent and repair and this is what I am trying to convince you guys today.”
