Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Revealed Ahead Of Launch On August

– The new-gen Alto K10 will be longer and taller than the outgoing model.

– It will come with a new 67 hp, 1.0-litre K10C petrol engine, with manual and AMT options.

– It will be offered in four basic trim levels -- Std., LXi, VXi and VXi+, each getting an option (O) pack.

As per the newly released ICAT certification, the new-gen Alto K10 will measure 3,530 mm in length

1,490 mm in width, 1,520 mm in height and will have a 2,380 mm wheelbase.

Moving on to the powertrain, the new Alto K10 will come equipped with a new 1.0-litre, three-cylinder K10C petrol engine that will produce 67 hp (the same as the previous model).

The new Alto and Alto K10 will be positioned in the entry-level hatchback segment, which has seen a steady decline in new launches over the last few years owing to razor-thin margins keeping manufacturers away from this space.

The Datsun Go, Go+ and Redigo, along with the Hyundai Santro, have all been discontinued, leaving only the Renault Kwid as a rival to one of Maruti's bestsellers.
